LIVING IN THE CARAVAN AT LAST

We have successfully moved the caravan to Sue and Don's house. It was rather a tight squeeze backing through their gates, we had about 3" on each side of the van. Ferg did extremely well and neither of us got stressed!

We went via the weighbridge and checked our van weight. It was surprisingly OK considering the amount of stuff we have stuffed into all the nooks and crannies. The van weight was 1980kg and the ball weight was 280kg. The ball weight should be approximately 10 percent of the van weight so we will redistribute some of our gear from the front to the back.

The van fits nicely right next to the swimming pool. Pity it's a bit too cool for a swim. Twistie has settled in nicely with the other dogs here. Boofy is very easy going. Monty and Honey are a little highly strung and it has taken a few days before they stopped barking at us.

The house finally settled on Thursday 15th without any hiccups. Ferg and I did a final clean on Wednesday and delivered the remaining furniture to family. We have been very lucky with the sale of the house, it could have been a lot more complicated.

LAST DAYS IN THE HOUSE

We are nearly there, the house is virtually empty and the caravan is almost packed. We have our last sleep in the house tonight before moving permanently into our van. Our monster garage sale went well on Saturday, and we were able to rehome most of our bric brac (junk).

We plan to move the van over to my sister's place tomorrow. We are going via the public weighbridge to make sure the van weight in OK. The house is on track for settlement on Thursday 15th.
